"The video quality is seriously impressive"
I’ve been using Sling for a while now, the video quality has been kind of a lifesaver. Everything looks clear on both my TV and phone, and I’m not sitting there battling the dreaded buffering wheel every five minutes. The channels load nicely, and overall I’m happy with how smooth it’s been.

"Pretty solid for watching games without the cable nonsense"
I’ve mostly been using Sling to keep up with sports, it’s been solid. I can watch ESPN, NFL games, and some college stuff without handing over half my paycheck to a cable company, which apparently is still a thing they expect people to do.

The only mildly annoying part is figuring out which package has which channels, because of course that can’t just be simple. But once I got it set up, it’s been easy to use, and the streams have worked well for me. No major complaints so far.

"I’ve been using Sling for a few months..."
I’ve been using Sling for a few months now, mostly for live games and the news, and overall it’s been really steady. I was expecting more buffering with live TV, but it’s been smooth on both my Roku and my phone, and the picture usually loads quickly.

I did have one random hiccup one night, but it cleared up on its own fast. I had checked support and the reply was basically like, “try restarting the app or device if it keeps happening,” but I didn’t even need to do much. For what I’m paying, I’ve been happy with it

"DVR does the job, almost suspiciously well"
I mainly use Sling for the DVR, it’s been solid. I record games and a couple of weekly shows, and they’re always sitting there when I go back to watch them. Pausing and fast-forwarding work like they should too, which is nice because I half expect these streaming services to secretly make that annoying on purpose. But so far, no weird tricks or disappearing recordings. It just works, which almost makes me wonder what they’re up to behind the scenes, but I’ll take it

"Quick help when I couldn’t log in"
I had trouble logging into Sling and ended up reaching out to support. for something like a login issue, I mostly just want it fixed without a bunch of back and forth, and that’s pretty much what happened. The rep was friendly, kept it simple, and had me back in within about 10 minutes. If every support problem went this smoothly, I’d have no complaints

It works fine overall, so I can’t totally complain, but wow, the missing channels are annoying. A couple of the ones I actually watch aren’t there, and now every time I go looking for them I act like my whole night is ruined. It’s usable, just not the best if you’re picky about your usual channels.

I tried running Sling ads and didn’t expect much, but I started getting real clicks quickly. Just a warning to others: make sure your landing page is ready before you launch, because the traffic can come in faster than you think.

I signed up for Sling mostly because my cable bill was getting ridiculous, and it’s been a good switch. I like that I’m not paying for a bunch of channels I never watch, and the price feels fair for what I actually use.
It’s not perfect every single time, but for the money, I’m happy with it. A friend recommended it to me after cutting cable, and I’m glad I gave it a try because it’s definitely better than handing over a huge cable payment every month...

I was mainly looking for something that would let me watch my local channels, and this ended up doing the job. Setup was simple too, at least in my experience. Overall, it felt like a straightforward fix for what I needed.

When I reached out to support, the replies were slow, and I had to follow up twice before getting anything that actually helped. It left me feeling frustrated and like canceling was way harder than it should’ve been...

I found the app really easy to use. The menus are laid out in a way that just makes sense, and the streams load fast for me. I never really feel lost in it, apps like this are either confusing for everyone or simple for everyone, and this one definitely feels like the simple kind
